We provide personalised support to people living in their own homes to help them meet their full potential. Our staff at Stainton Court also provide outreach support for people with learning disabilities and people with mental health issues.
Staff provide 24 hour support to the residents. There is emergency support from a senior member of staff who is on call for advice at all times.
Residents have a tenancy agreement for their flat and are supported to apply for Housing Benefit to help with the cost of their rent. Residents are also responsible for their own electric, gas and water bills.
Residents develop a person centred plan with their link worker to meet their needs for daily living skills, paid or voluntary work, leisure and daytime activities. Tenants meet with their link worker at least once a week to discuss and resolve any issues they might have.
All tenants are registered with local GPs and have access to locally based community health services. Specialist health support can also be provided if necessary. Advocacy workers are encouraged and supported at Stainton Court. Advocates are welcome to represent / support tenants at their meetings if requested by the tenant.
Each flat has an open plan lounge and fitted kitchen, a bathroom with an over bath shower and a single bedroom. Residents furnish their own flat and make it their home. There is a communal lounge with a pool table and kitchen facilities used for social events. Tenants also have access to a garden, with outside seating, a shed and bicycle storage. There is a weekly social club at Stainton Court for tenants to get together to enjoy themselves. Tenants make suggestions for new activities and choose which one they would like to join in with each week.
Stainton Court is just a ten minute walk from Bushey town centre. The local stores include a butchers, bakers, supermarket, Post Office and a fish and chip shop. There is also a park and leisure centre (with a swimming pool) close by.
