"I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2003 with a BA (Hons) in Politics with German. My intertest in the housing sector piqued after studying a housing module through HSBC’s graduate program. In 2005, I decided to pursue a career in housing and have been passionate about the field ever since!

I completed my Masters in Housing Practice at Westminster University whilst working at a previous organisation. This experience provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the housing sector and strengthened my professional foundation. As a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, I remain committed to staying informed on the latest developments and best practices in the industry.

Since being at Hightown, my career has progressed from Housing Officer to Housing Team Area Manager, to Voids & Lettings Manger to now, Head of Housing. In my current role, I lead and manage the Tenant Services teams, focusing on empowering and supporting my teams to deliver exceptional customer service to residents.

Hightown’s supportive culture has been instrumental in my professional growth. The opportunities provided, such as completing a Project Management course, has enhanced my skills and allowed me to continuously learn, develop and achieve. Balancing family life with career aspirations and successfully returning to a leadership role after a career break has been a significant milestone and a highlight of my journey.

There are so many different roles and areas in Housing which require different skills. Whether that be customer service, asset management or development. Exploring the opportunities available is a great way of finding something that you enjoy."
