This development completed in July 2021 and includes 55 affordable homes on a Hightown land-led scheme in Bushey (in the borough of Hertsmere). The site, formerly home to several run-down industrial buildings, is among very few developments in the borough for 100% affordable housing.
32 of the homes were allocated to families in housing need from among the hundreds on the local authority’s waiting list. The remaining 23 were set aside for people who live or work in Hertsmere or who have family in the borough to buy through the shared ownership scheme.
This development includes a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments and two and three bedroom houses, set around a central communal garden.
