St Barnabas Court provides eight supported living homes for people with learning disabilities. Each resident has their own self-contained purpose built flat with 24 hour support on site.
The aim is to provide personalised support to people living in their own homes to help them meet their full potential. Residents have a tenancy agreement for their flat and are supported to apply for housing benefit to help with the cost of their rent. Residents are also responsible for their own electric, gas and water bills.
Residents develop a person centred plan with their link worker to meet their needs for daily living skills, leisure and daytime activities. Social interaction in the local community is actively encouraged and visitors are welcome, subject to the wishes of the resident.
Every resident at St Barnabas Court has their own self-contained flat including a lounge/diner, fitted kitchen, white bathroom suite with an over bath shower plus a single or double bedroom. Residents furnish their own flat and make it their home.
St Barnabas Court is located in Hemel Hempstead, not far from Jarman Park where you will find LeisureWorld which offers several restaurants, a gym and an 8-screen cinema. There is also a large Tesco store.
Hemel is a thriving town with a variety of historic pubs, the picturesque Apsley Marina and the open spaces of Boxmoor Trust.
