Martin House offers a safe, caring environment to all residents. The Martin House staff team support, advise and empower residents with the necessary social and life skills to move on to independent living. This support comes in many forms depending on the needs of the resident, but could include practical day-to-day living skills, support looking for work and education, counselling or signposting to third party specialist agencies. Residents meet regularly with their Support Worker to agree their support needs, goals and progress.
The hostel is located in St Albans City Centre and within easy access of statutory and voluntary agencies.

I now have my own flat and I am making it homely for my future life. In my last few days at Martin House, I was constantly telling the staff that I could not have moved without their support.
Martin House helped me get my benefits and to see a GP who supported me through my depression. I was supported to get voluntary work in a charity shop (which I still do), and am now living in my own flat - I could not have done it all without the help I received from Martin House.
