Care and choice
Cambridge Road is a supported living service, however is registered with the CQC to provide accommodation to people who require personal care.
All the service users have personalised their rooms and choices are promoted by the team in a way that is significant to the service users they support. Some of the service users at Cambridge Road are non-verbal but communicate using body language, facial expressions and vocalisations which the dedicated staff team understand. The staff all work in a person centred way, recognising the individual preferences of the service users.
The four service users each have their own individually decorated bedroom.
The residents share the communal lounge, dining room and kitchen. There is also a sensory room where they can relax. Cambridge Road has a large rear garden and a small garden to the front of the property that are easily accessible. Some service users also have a television in their room.
The service users are supported to attend a variety of activities catered to their preferences and likes. Disco music sessions are very popular and run every two weeks. We also have an aromatherapist that comes to the home on a weekly basis.
Personal shopping and trips to local towns and country parks are provided throughout the week.
