Goldfinch House has been built on a site that was formerly the Watford Town & Country Club - bringing 39 new homes for affordable rent and shared ownership to the heart of central Watford.

    Located in the heart of central Watford, Hightown’s new development Goldfinch House brings 39 new affordable homes to Watford in the form of one and two bedroom flats. The development consists of one apartment blocks with two cores. 

    The site includes areas for parking, communal area and some small green spaces.

    This development is one of several projects where Hightown has purchased the land directly and entered into a contract to build the homes rather than working in partnership with a house builder in a section 106 agreement.

    Planning permission was granted in September 2018 and demolition of the building occurred in September 2019. Construction started in October 2019 and was completed on 12 May 2021.
