Westcroft House provides supported housing for nine people with learning disabilities. Each tenant has their own self-contained flat with 24 hour support on site.
We aim provide personalised support to people living in their own homes to help them meet their full potential. Tenants have a tenancy agreement for their flats and are supported to apply for housing benefit to help with the cost of their rent.
At Westcroft House, support is given to each person living in their own flat to enable them to develop independence skills, be involved in decisions regarding their life and participate in their local community.
All tenants are supported to develop leisure and daytime activities as part of their lifestyle plan. They are encouraged to use local facilities such as leisure centres, restaurants and churches depending on their needs and wishes.
All tenants are registered with local GPs and have access to locally based community health services. Specialist health support can also be provided if necessary. Advocacy workers are encouraged and supported. Advocates are welcome to represent / support tenants at their meetings if requested by the tenant.
Visitors are always welcome subject to the wishes of the tenant. All tenants are supported to develop person centred plans to meet their needs.
Each tenant has their own bedroom, kitchen/lounge and bathroom. There is also a communal summer house in the garden for tenants to get together.
Tenants are encouraged to bring their own belongings and possessions into the home wherever possible, providing they meet health and safety regulations.
