Seymour Court provides eight one bedroom flats in Tring, Hertfordshire for people with learning disabilities. Each tenant has their own self-contained purpose built flat with 24 hour support. Our aim is to provide flexible personalised support to people living in their own homes to help them meet their full potential.
Tenants have a tenancy agreement for their flats and are supported to apply for housing benefit to help with the cost of their rent.
At Seymour Court appropriate support is given to each person living in their own flat to enable them to develop independent living skills, make decisions regarding their life and participate in their local community.
Tenants are supported to furnish their own flats, build and maintain relationships with family and friends, and access community learning, volunteering and work opportunities.
All tenants are registered with local GPs and have access to locally based community health services. Specialist health and support can also be provided if necessary, through partnerships with other agencies.
Advocacy workers are encouraged and supported. Advocates are welcome to represent / support tenants at their meetings if requested by the tenant.
Each flat has a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and a single bedroom, and furnished by individual tenants.
Seymour Court, off Frogmore Street is within a three minute walk from Tring High Street, providing easy access to shops, restaurants, banks, and public transport links. London Midland run train services to London Euston and Milton Keynes and Southern run train services to Croydon and south London stations. Intalink provide good bus links to Tring and the surrounding areas.
