Hightown has a specialist team who provide floating support to residents at Satinwood Court who have mental health issues. This type of support can help with things like accessing health and community care services, establishing and maintaining social support and developing home management skills such as cooking and cleaning.
Residents develop a person centred plan with their link worker to meet their needs for daily living skills, leisure and daytime activities. Social interaction in the local community is actively encouraged and visitors are welcome, subject to the wishes of the resident.
All residents are registered with local GPs and have access to locally based community health services. Specialist health support can also be provided if necessary. Advocacy workers are encouraged and supported. Advocates are welcome to represent / support residents at their meetings if requested by the resident.
Satinwood Court is located in Hemel Hempstead, not far from Jarman Park where you will find LeisureWorld which offers several restaurants, a gym and an 8-screen cinema. There is also a large Tesco store.
Hemel is a thriving town with a variety of historic pubs, the picturesque Apsley Marina and the open spaces of Boxmoor Trust.
