Universal Credit pays 52 weeks of rent for the year, however, because of the leap year in 2020, there are 53 Mondays in this financial year.

Unfortunately his means that tenants receiving Universal Credit will need to be mindful that there will be one week of rent that will not be covered by Universal Credit.

If you are claiming Universal Credit, we advise that you will need to make additional contributions towards your rent to cover this shortfall. We do understand that this may be difficult, if you are concerned about your rent payments or would like to discuss a payment plan, please contact your Income Recovery Officer by phone or email Income.Recovery@hightownha.org.uk.

Your Income Recovery Officer may also refer you for help from our Financial Inclusion Service.
