Hightown has welcomed Maxine Espley as its new chief executive, replacing David Bogle, who has retired from the position after more than 30 years’ service.
Maxine joins Hightown from GreenSquareAccord, where she was chief operating officer. In this role Maxine held executive responsibility for repairs and maintenance, asset management, customer services, homes and communities, care and support services and quality and compliance.
With a wealth of experience gained through more than 30 years of senior roles in the housing, health and care sectors, Maxine will steer Hightown through the next phase of the strategic plan to further strengthen its customer offer and continue to provide much needed homes and support.
Commenting on her appointment, Maxine Espley said:
“It is a huge privilege to be able to build on the outstanding legacy that has been created at Hightown, a housing association that has continued to develop much-needed affordable homes and grow its care and supported housing provision, despite an increasingly challenging operating environment.
“I am hugely grateful for the warm welcome from our dedicated staff; their enthusiasm and commitment to Hightown’s mission have been truly inspiring. Together, we will continue to build supportive and thriving communities, prioritising the delivery of high-quality services to our customers and ensuring their voices are valued and heard."
Hightown’s chair, Qadeer Kiani, added:
“Maxine brings with her an abundance of knowledge of both housing and care and support services and a brilliant track record of exceptional service delivery and customer service, which puts Hightown in an excellent position to navigate the challenges whilst increasing our customer focus and meeting consumer standards. I look forward to working closely with Maxine as we begin a new chapter and continue to help more people live in safe and secure homes.”
