Gas Safety checks - have you arranged yours?
By law, Hightown needs to ensure that the gas fittings and appliances in your home are maintained properly. This is to protect you, your family, home and neighbours.
Faulty gas appliances, fittings and blocked flues can put you at risk of gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning. Un-serviced appliances may also cost you more on your bills, as well as being prone to breakdowns.
Gas fittings and appliances need an annual service. As part of this visit, your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors will be checked and, where necessary, replaced.
Hightown’s gas servicing contractor, TSG Building Services PLC, need your co-operation to allow them to carry out this vital work. TSG will write to tell you the date they will be attending. If you need to change the date or time, please call TSG Building Services PLC on 0800 085 3965.
If you don’t let the engineer in, we will take legal action to gain access and recharge any costs to you. However, if you provide prompt access to the gas safe engineer, you will be entered into a prize draw for a £25 High Street shopping voucher.
Remember - appliances that haven’t been maintained properly can produce a toxic gas that can kill without warning.
