If you are over 18 and need a place for the night, you may be able to stay at Open Door in St Albans. Call 01727 859113. 
  • Womens’ Refuges, Stevenage and Dacorum
If you are a woman and homeless because you are escaping domestic abuse, you may be able to stay in a women’s refuge, along with your children. Hightown operate refuges in Stevenage 01438 350243 and Dacorum 01442 235147 (9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday). 
  • Young people under 18 
You don’t have to be sleeping on the street to be considered homeless; for example you may be sleeping on a friend’s sofa, or you may be at risk of violence where you are staying. Contact children's services at your local council to ask about your options for housing.
