Our Residents' Voice & Scrutiny Panel and VoiceBox (Hightown's service user involvement group) members hosted their workshop on Wednesday 20 November to review our complaints leaflet and terms of reference.
At their last workshop in May, the group provided feedback on the previous version of the complaints leaflet. In this workshop, they reviewed the revised leaflet and could see how the complaints leaflet had improved due to their feedback. They were delighted with the changes and pleased to see their feedback had been incorporated.
Additionally, the groups also learned about the differences between the Residents Voice & Scrutiny Panel (RVSP) and VoiceBox. They were also introduced to Harriet Stewart, Coproduction and Activity Co-Ordinator and Elaine Rixon, Resident Involvement Officer, who have just been appointed to their roles. They will be working closely with the respective groups.
Tahlia-Rose Carter, Vice-Chair of RVSP, said:
"It's been a valuable opportunity to network with VoiceBox residents and evaluate and suggest changes to the terms of reference and proposed complaints leaflet."
Kelly Dunlop, a member of VoiceBox, commented:
"The workshop was very good. I enjoyed socialising and interacting with everyone. It feels good to be able to help make a difference."
Gemma Ford, another member of VoiceBox, added:
"I found it a valuable experience learning about the differences between VoiceBox and RVSP and to help make positive changes."
