Hightown welcomes interim finance lead

Hightown has welcomed Tony Blewitt as Interim Executive Director of Finance.

An accomplished finance professional, Blewitt will steer the association’s financial operations ahead of the appointment of a permanent Chief Financial Officer to take over the reins from incumbent Director of Finance, David Skinner, who retires on 15 August after 16 years in the role.

An accomplished finance professional, Blewitt’s career has included director roles within both the private and social housing sectors. He has over 20 years’ experience in social housing, including most recently as the interim CFO with Lincolnshire Housing Partnership, and an in-depth of knowledge of the sector, including formulating strategy, refinancing, treasury management, risk management, regulatory standards and compliance, procurement, value for money and improving financial viability.

Hightown Chief Executive, Maxine Espley, commented:

“The process to appoint a new Chief Financial Officer is underway and progressing well. In the interim, we are delighted to welcome Tony to maintain our strong financial stewardship and a seamless transition ahead of a permanent CFO joining the association in the coming months.

“We also extend our sincere thanks to David Skinner, whose dedication, expertise and leadership have made a lasting impact through a period of rapid growth for the association. We wish him every happiness in his well-earned retirement.”

Tony Blewitt officially joined Hightown on 4 August.
