Annual Report for Residents 2024/25

Hightown Housing Association is proud to share its Annual Report for Residents 2024/25, showcasing a year of progress, partnership and continued commitment to its mission: Building homes. Supporting people.

Despite economic challenges, Hightown delivered significant achievements, including:

· 364 new homes completed and added to management

· Support for over 19,000 residents, with £664,000 recovered in welfare benefits

· 33,599 repairs completed, with 75% fixed on the first visit

· 7,617 estate inspections to maintain safe and welcoming neighbourhoods

· 44% of lettings allocated to homeless households

The report highlights improvements in complaints handling, resident engagement and building safety, alongside investment in sustainability. Nearly 70% of homes now have an EPC rating of Band B or above, and over half of new homes include renewable energy systems.

Maxine Espley, chief executive, said: “We are committed to helping our residents sustain their tenancies and live well in their homes. This report reflects the progress we’ve made and our plans to keep improving services and investing in homes.”

Looking ahead, Hightown will continue to focus on customer service, damp and mould prevention, resident involvement, and energy efficiency improvements.
