Today is Starts at Home Day 2025, a national campaign led by the National Housing Federation to highlight the essential role of supported housing—and to call for action to #SaveOurSupportedHousing.
Supported housing provides more than just a roof over someone’s head. It offers stability, safety, and the opportunity to rebuild lives. Without it, the impact on public services and communities would be significant:
- The NHS would face 110,000 additional days of delayed hospital discharge
- Over 41,000 more people would be at risk of homelessness
One inspiring example of supported housing in action is Montana’s story.
