Hightown is proud to celebrate the staff’s achievements at the 2025 National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards, held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham on Friday, 4 July.

Sarah Davies, who leads Ariadni and Cambridge Road care and supported housing services in Crowthorne, was honoured with The Manager Award, recognising her exceptional leadership, commitment to person-centred care, and her ability to inspire her team.

Judges praised Sarah for consistently placing the people she supports at the heart of every decision and for initiatives like organising an annual music festival to bring the community together.

Sarah said: “I am deeply honoured to receive this award. It reflects my personal commitment to being an approachable leader—one who strives to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by creating opportunities that enhance quality of life and promote positive, enriching experiences.”

Lisa Nicholas, Scheme Manager at St Barnabas in Hemel Hempstead, received a Highly Commended Award in the Frontline Leader category. Lisa was recognised for her transformative leadership, her dedication to improving care, and her ability to support her team to deliver excellence. Under her guidance, St Barnabas has seen a significant improvement in resident satisfaction and service quality.

Lisa shared: “I am over the moon that St Barnabas is being recognised for the excellent work that we do. I couldn’t have achieved this without my amazing team. It was an honour to be nominated by my manager, and it’s a pleasure to work for Hightown.”

In addition to these remarkable wins, Hightown also celebrates John Mtetewaunga, who was a finalist in the Support Worker category. His recognition highlights the dedication and compassion that he brings to supporting people every day.

These achievements are a testament to the passion, professionalism, and person-centred values that define Hightown’s approach to care and support.

We are incredibly proud of Sarah, Lisa, John, and all our staff who work tirelessly to support people and improve their quality of life.

Congratulations to all our winners and finalists—you make Hightown proud!
