Residents and staff gathered at Ariadni, a Hightown Housing Association learning disability supported living service in Berkshire, on a sunny Friday afternoon to enjoy this year’s mini music festival. This year’s theme ‘famous people’ brought a touch of celebrity sparkle to the event, with everyone embracing the fun and festive atmosphere.
The event transformed the service into a lively festival display, full of music, laughter and activities for everyone involved. Staff organised live music and drumming sessions for residents to join in as well as a DJ to keep the entertainment going all afternoon. Residents and staff alike enjoyed the lively beats from the DJ, dancing and singing along as the music filled the air with energy and joy.
Everyone was able to enjoy festival-style food, such as hot dogs and pizzas and refreshing mocktails served from the makeshift bar, adding to the vibrant atmosphere and giving the event an authentic summer festival feel.
To celebrate the theme, festival goers were dressed to impress, from Charlie Chaplin and Elvis to Maleficent! The day was made possible by some of the people we support and managers in our Bracknell services and was enjoyed by residents and staff from Bracknell, Sandhurst, Crowthorne and Wokingham. It was another successful summer music festival for the team in Berkshire.
Francis Zvoma, Head of Care and Supported Housing at Hightown Housing Association, said:
“Ariadni’s mini summer festival is about more than the music or food, it’s about celebrating the amazing spirit of our services. Seeing everyone come together, share joy and feel part of something special reminds us why community matters so much. It was wonderful to see so many staff and residents have a day full of fun.”
