In the heart of Bracknell lies Ariadni, Hightown Housing Association's specialist learning disability service, which hosted its mini music festival, with a carnival theme.
The event, held in August, saw schemes from all around gathered to witness the spectacles. The venue was beautifully decorated with posters and balloons and featured a variety of carnival acts, a ringmaster, clowns and even its own 'lion'. Guests were amazed by the range of activities, such as the drum circle and karaoke.
The mocktail bar at the end of the garden was well needed as the sun made a special appearance. The DJ played crowd favourites from the Greatest Showman which had everyone excited.
Staff prepared a banquet of burgers and hotdogs to keep the people we support fuelled for the fabulous afternoon. It was a wondrous experience with the people we support from Bracknell, Sandhurst, Crowthorne, Wokingham and High Wycombe joining together to be entertained.
Francis Zvoma, Head of Care and Supported Housing for Regulated Services said:
'It was a pleasure to see so many of the people we support enjoy themselves at the annual mini music festival. This year they chose the theme of carnival after the much-enjoyed film the Greatest Showman. It was a great opportunity for service users from our various services to connect and socialise with each other. The way they were calm, content and happy is an indicator of receiving the right support and for this I say a big thank you to all the managers and staff who helped make this event such a success.'
