As your landlord, Hightown is responsible for carrying out regular fire safety checks if you live in a flat or maisonette.

Our Property Services Inspectors carry out regular routine inspections to check all communal areas of Hightown’s buildings.

Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) are also carried out annually (high rises and HMOs). They identify potential fire-related hazards and aim to reduce the likelihood of a fire. If you’d like to request a summary of the latest actions from your building’s FRA then please click here.

Please note that FRAs provide a snapshot of the building at a specific time and there may not always be follow-up actions from the most recent FRA.

Fire action notices are displayed in the building with information on what to do in the event of a fire.  Please remind yourself and your family of the potential escape routes that you could take in an emergency. Fire escape plans are currently available for most buildings that are four storeys or more. If you would like to request a copy of your property’s fire escape plan then please click here.

If you or any other household member feel you would require assistance in evacuating the building, in the event of an emergency, you need to tell Hightown and can do so here.

If you have difficulty accessing the online forms to request your FRA, fire escape plan or provide evacuation assistance information, please call reception on 01442 292300.
