With the recent announcement of another lockdown, we have taken a look back at the service we provided during some of the lockdown months last year.

Our residents have been helping us to safely continue our services by throwing keys from windows and remaining in other rooms while we carry out emergency repairs and statutory safety checks, which the government have said must continue during this period.

We have continued to complete repairs in properties by ensuring our contractors maintain social distancing, wear personal protective equipment and wipe down any surfaces they touch. From April to June 2020, a total of 4613 repairs were raised and completed, including: 

  • 535 x Central heating & hot water
  • 350 x Electrical works
  • 961 x Plumbing works
  • 5 x Aids and adaptations
  • 536 x Carpentry works
  • 1,444 x Communal area repairs

The Lettings team completed 74 new tenancies, including: 

  • In April they completed 14 relets, 9 new builds and 2 temporary housing contracts 
  • In May they completed 13 relets and 7 new builds
    In June they completed 11 relets and 18 new builds

By making adjustments to ensure that we were Covid-19 safe, the Lettings team have been able to continue service, providing homes to local people.
