Nestled on the southern reaches of Leighton Buzzard, Buzzard Meadows is in an ideal location for making the most of the town’s plentiful amenities but also close to stunning Bedfordshire countryside. The town is home to a range of high street and independent stores, banks, a Post Office, supermarkets (including Waitrose, Tesco Superstore and Morrisons) and Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre.
Just a short distance from the development you’ll find Pages Park offering activities for all ages including tennis and basketball courts, football pitches, a croquet lawn and children’s play area. Leighton Buzzard Railway is also part of the park and is one of the few surviving narrow gauge light railways in England. The heritage railway runs for almost five kilometres through countryside and town and is popular with steam enthusiasts and children alike.
A little closer to the town centre is Parsons Close Recreation Ground; it has a children’s play area, bandstand, skate park and flower gardens plus the Splash 'n' Play park and beach which are open in the Summer months. For an added attraction the park hosts free concerts during the summer months.
Leighton Buzzard has an array of leisure facilities including a theatre, public houses, restaurants and a leisure centre with swimming pool. For days out on the northern edge of Leighton Buzzard there is Rushmere Park - a 210-acre park which has lakes, meadows and ancient woodlands. Just outside the town there’s Woburn Abbey - an historic house with a deer park and safari park.
Leighton Buzzard is a sought-after location, with excellent local schools, selection of amenities and many road links - the A5 and M1 are easily reached from the development, putting London just over 40 miles away by road, while the town’s train station is less than 3 miles from Buzzard Meadows and offers regular services to London and the North.
