    Tingewick Village is linked to Buckingham via A421 only 3 miles away. Bicester North Railway Station is 9 miles away with a direct train service to London Marylebone in 45 minutes, or just over an hour to Birmingham. 

    Tingewick has a Post Office, two pubs and a weekly-run Tingewick Community Cafe. Buckingham has a Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Aldi supermarkets and a variety of independent shops, national retailers and regular markets. Milton Keynes and Bicester Village offer more shopping opportunities less than 30 minutes drive away.

    Tingewick Pre-school caters for 2 to 5 year olds and Roundwood Primary School has an infant site in Tingewick and a junior site in the nearby village of Gawcott. It was rated 'good' by Ofsted in 2011. For senior pupils The Buckingham School is a specialist sports college with a Centre of Further Education. The Bourton Meadow Education Trust offers a number of academies including the George Granville, Bourton Meadow and Lace Hill. The Royal Latin School is a grammar school for 11 to 18 year olds, rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted in 2009 and now with academy status. It is one of the country's top performing state schools.
